“Now, I have to do it!” Anna commanded
herself. “It’s now or never.” Slowly she pulled her body out of her car. “Step
by step! Just keep walking.”
At long last she decided to confront
Brian. Anna knew she was miserable without him and after Sara got on her case
earlier that week, she finally got the courage to follow her heart. She had
wanted to the entire time, but her pride had once again interfered with
everything.
As her heart pounded against her rib cage Anna rang the
doorbell. It seemed as if thunder crashed against the walls. Minutes ticked by
as Anna waited for any sign of her love.
No such luck.
“You aren’t leaving now! You are going to wait...”Anna
searched for a place to try and relax. “Right there on that swing.” He feet
almost refused to walk, causing her to stumble clumsily to the wooden swing.
Anna let her head fall heavily into her hands. Tears of
anxiousness and fear slowly trickled down her cheeks. This wasn’t going to be
an easy wait.
“Aw come on! Brian yelled at the traffic around him. “I
want to go home! Go, the light is green!”
Rain started to drizzle and soon poured blindly into
Brian’s path. Now his course home would take ever longer. This just wasn’t his
day.
