Once more, the audience applauds as Drums closes the book.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd now, my children, you have heard both sides of the story.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd,\u201d Nick adds, \u201cyou\u2019ve learned that good always triumphs over evil, as I stated earlier.\u201d<\/p>\n

Drums glares at Nick. \u201cWell, anyway, we hope you enjoyed our holiday special. Before we bid you farewell, we have one final surprise for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nick looks at Drums, who is suddenly holding a large wrapped package. \u201cWe do?\u201d<\/p>\n

Drums nods. \u201cWell, you know it\u2019s Christmas, and my heart is open wide. Gonna give you somethin\u2019, so you know what\u2019s on my mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nick\u2019s eyes narrow suspiciously as he backs away, wondering if Drums would really bring a bomb to the taping of their 00Carter Christmas special.<\/p>\n

\u201cTake a look inside,\u201d Drums urges him.<\/p>\n

Surely, Pearl\u2019s bomb-detecting device would have picked up on the presence of explosives on the set, Nick reasons. Against his better judgement, he steps forward and hesitantly lifts the lid.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s my dick in a box!\u201d Drums raises his arms in triumph, then bursts out laughing at the look of pure disgust on Nick\u2019s face.<\/p>\n

\u201cDude! There are children here!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAw, c\u2019mon, dawg, like Lancybassy ain\u2019t tried to give you the same gift?<\/p>\n

Nick scowls. \u201cWell, I know better than to open it when it\u2019s coming from Lancy!\u201d<\/p>\n

Drums snickers. \u201cHell, he\u2019s the one who told me how to do it! One: cut a hole in a box. Two: put your junk in–\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDrums!\u201d Nick shouts, interrupting him. \u201cNot in front of the kids! Jesus, do you wanna get arrested for public indecency? Now knock it off, and let\u2019s wrap this thing up the right way!\u201d<\/p>\n

Drums clears his throat as he looks around at the wide-eyed children who are watching. \u201cMy apologies. Actually, I do have one more surprise for y\u2019all: a visit from The Ghost of Christmas Past, here to perform a festive holiday song! Put your hands together for\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

A third man walks onto the set. He is tall and thin with brown hair and a pearly, semi-translucent glow.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026SHAZAM!\u201d<\/p>\n

Nick groans but quickly pastes a fake smile on his face for the sake of the children.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh wow\u2026 Shazam!\u201d says Nick with forced enthusiasm. \u201cIt\u2019s a Christmas miracle!<\/p>\n

The audience applauds again as the children\u2019s eyes light up with delight.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s right, I\u2019m back!\u201d announces the late JC. \u201cYou know, the holidays are a time to put our troubles behind us, to let go of old grudges and share the joy of the season with our friends and family. So I\u2019m here to sing a little song with my old pal, Drums.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDat\u2019s right, bro.\u201d Drums slugs JC playfully in the shoulder. \u201cYou ain\u2019t nevah had a friend like me!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEbonics!\u201d Nick coughs.<\/p>\n

Drums ignores him. \u201cReady, Shazam?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cReady, Drums!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHit it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Out of nowhere, a pianist strikes a chord progression on a baby grand tucked in a corner of the room, and Drums begins to hum along. \u201cMmm\u2026. Merry Christmas\u2026 happy holidays\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

A percussionist comes in on the drums as JC joins Drums in harmony. \u201cMerry Christmas! Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas! And happy holidays!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cOh no,\u201d Nick groans to himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cOoh yeah!\u201d<\/em> sings JC. \u201cWe been waiting all year for this night\u2026 when the snow is glistening on the trees outside. And all the stockings are hung by the fireside\u2026 waiting for Santa to arrive. And all the love we\u2019ll show\u2026 \u2018cause everybody knows it\u2019s Christmas time, and all the kids will see\u2026 the gifts under the tree. It\u2019s the best time of year for the family!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

He throws his arm around Drums as Nick looks on in horror. Swaying back and forth, arm-in-arm, they sing in harmony. \u201cIt\u2019s a wonderful feeling! Feel the love in the room from the floor to the ceiling! It\u2019s that time of year\u2026 Christmas time is here! And with the blessings from above, God sends you his love, and everything\u2019s okay. Merry Christmas, happy holidays! Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas! Happy holidays!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cOhhh\u2026 Bells are ringing\u2026 It\u2019s time to scream and shout!\u201d<\/em> sings Drums. \u201cAnd everybody\u2019s playing \u2018cause school\u2019s out! Celebrating the special times we share\u2026 Happiness \u2018cause love is in the air!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Finally, Nick can\u2019t take it anymore and runs in front of the pair of singers, waving his arms and shouting. The music suddenly stops, leaving Drums and JC dumbfounded.<\/p>\n

\u201cCut! Cut the crap!\u201d screams Nick. \u201cYou\u2019re right, it\u2019s time to scream and shout, but that ain\u2019t love in the air; it\u2019s horrible singing. You\u2019re ruining our whole holiday special!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, YOU just ruined our whole holiday special, Carter!\u201d shouts Drums.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I\u2019m about to save it! You want a festive holiday song? Here goes!\u201d Nick takes a deep breath, turns to the audience, and starts to sing.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrost grows outside the window\u2026 first kiss under the mistletoe\u2026\u201d He pulls Red Jewel onstage and plants a kiss on her lips. \u201cOh-ohh\u2026 oh-ohh\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Out of nowhere, a band begins to accompany him, the music slowly building.<\/p>\n

\u201cBells chime inside the steeple\u2026 open the door, see the people sing\u2026 oh-ohh\u2026 oh-ohh\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The studio door opens, and Agent K enters, singing, \u201cAnd when the snow is falling down, down, down\u2026 you know that Santa\u2019s back in town, town, town! That\u2019s when it\u2019s Christmas time again!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

More people enter the studio: Agent Jay, The Rok, and even Dr. Rough dressed in his Santa suit. \u201cLa ta, la ta-da-da-ta! La ta, la ta-da-da, it\u2019s Christmas time again!\u201d they chorus. \u201cLa ta, la ta-da-da-ta! La ta, la ta-da-da, it\u2019s Christmas time again!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been checking my list twice,\u201d<\/em> sing Brian and K. \u201cGot plans to give you your gift tonight\u2026 oh-ohh\u2026 oh-ohh\u2026\u201d<\/em> Brian waves to Opal Odyssey, who is in the audience.<\/p>\n

\u201cWake up under a lit tree,\u201d<\/em> Jay joins Nick in harmony. \u201cOne wish that came true, you\u2019re here with me\u2026 oh-ohh\u2026 oh-ohh\u2026\u201d<\/em> Jay blows a kiss to Emerald Ecstasy, also in the audience. Nick does the same to Diamond Divine. \u201cAnd when the snow is falling down, down, down\u2026 you know that Santa\u2019s back in town, town, town! That\u2019s when it\u2019s Christmas time again!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cLa ta, la ta-da-da-ta!\u201d<\/em> they all sing. \u201cLa ta, la ta-da-da, it\u2019s Christmas time again! La ta, la ta-da-da-ta! La ta, la ta-da-da, it\u2019s Christmas time again!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Then the music slows down for Dr. Rough\u2019s sexy solo. \u201cAnd when the snow is falling down, down, down\u2026\u201d he croons, wiggling spirit fingers in front of his face.\u201cYou know that Santa\u2019s back in town, town, town! That\u2019s when it\u2019s Christmas time again!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cLa ta, la ta-da-da-ta!\u201d<\/em> the others chorus as Nick sings, \u201cI\u2019ll give you, I\u2019ll give you, my heart!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cLa ta, la ta-da-da, it\u2019s Christmas time again! La ta, la ta-da-da-ta! La ta, la ta-da-da, it\u2019s Christmas time again!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been bad, I\u2019ve been good, I\u2019ve been everything I should,\u201d<\/em> sings Nick, winking at Professor Pearl.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026It\u2019s Christmas time again!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been bad, I\u2019ve been good, and you know that I do what I should.\u201d<\/em> Nick pretends not to see Mr. Lancybassy, who\u2019s blowing kisses at him from the audience.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026It\u2019s Christmas time agaaaaaaain!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

As the song comes to an end, the audience leaps to their feet, applauding loudly while the children cheer. Nick, K, Jay, Brian, and Dr. Rough take a bow while Drums and JC stand in the background, looking defeated.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow THAT\u2019S what I call an end to our holiday special!\u201d says Nick with a grin. \u201cMerry Christmas to all\u2026<\/p>\n

Everyone chimes in: \u201c\u2026And to all a goodnight!\u201d<\/p>\n
