Published:<\/strong> December 22, 2001<\/p>\n It\u2019s the first day of the fall semester, and that means one thing \u2013 new med students. The seasoned staff members of Atlantic City Memorial Hospital go to work anticipating the arrival of their inexperienced new students, while the students arrive nervous but ready to work. The events of the morning are new and exciting to the fresh-faced students, but to the others, it\u2019s just another drama-filled day at Memorial.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> December 29, 2001<\/p>\n The first day continues as more drama unfolds. Justin gets his first lecture, Nick is forced to help with a painful procedure on a child, and Isabel goes the extra mile to take care of her very first patient.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> January 5, 2002<\/p>\n A relaxing evening abruptly ends for several members of the Memorial staff, when a horrible car accident occurs on the interstate. The doctors and nurses of the ER must come together to prepare for the traumas to arrive, while the paramedics of the EMT squad are sent out on a mission to rescue victims and save lives. Their work is not easy, but when they must face losing loved ones of their own, it gets even tougher.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> January 12, 2002<\/p>\n The action moves from the EMT squad to the staff of the ER as the trauma patients from the accident are flown in. A member of the staff fears for her best friend\u2019s life, while a young mother worries about her premature baby. The drama intensifies when one of the doctors themselves becomes critically ill.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> February 2, 2002<\/p>\n While Josh deals with the death of his sister-in-law, Jack and AJ worry about Bianca. Everyone is relieved the see the night come to an end. But more drama is waiting the next day.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> February 24, 2002<\/p>\n The atmosphere around Memorial is one of anguish, sorrow, and depression. Howie waits anxiously while his daughter undergoes emergency surgery. Josh has trouble concentrating on his work because of his grief and suffers for it. Med students Nick and Justin must both deal with death. Jack must face the woman he nearly killed, and Lance confronts a ghost from his past.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> March 3, 2002<\/p>\n Jack and Justin have a rough day at work when they lose a patient. They look forward to taking their mind of their problems at a party at AJ\u2019s house that night, but by the end of the night, they have even greater problems to face.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> March 10, 2002<\/p>\n The paramedics and ER staff at Memorial react in shock when they find that once again, once of their own has fallen. Jack takes the blame upon himself for Justin\u2019s decisions, and Mariah takes it upon herself to give Justin a little \u201ccheering up.\u201d Jaela discovers the horrible truth about her marriage, while Kylie gets some unexpected news herself. A former ER patient bounces back and cannot be saved. Will his death mean the death of a staff member?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> March 24, 2002<\/p>\n When Chris finds Lance\u2019s suicide note, it\u2019s a race for time to try to save his best friend\u2019s life. A mother brings her sick stepson into the ER, and it is Brian\u2019s job to find out what\u2019s making him sick, before it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> May 5, 2002<\/p>\n While Lance\u2019s life hangs in balance, Jack and Justin have a hard time trying to communicate with a foreign patient and his wife, and Brian and Siara take care of a couple\u2019s newborn triplets.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> May 19, 2002<\/p>\n It is Bianca\u2019s first day back on the job after over a month\u2019s absence. Justin has to care for a rather \u201cunhygienic\u201d patient. Several neurologists and surgeons come together for a consultation on Lance\u2019s case. That night, several staff members go to one of the local high schools\u2019 Homecoming football game, where emergency strikes. That\u2019s not enough to ruin Jack and Addie\u2019s memorable night though.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> May 25, 2002<\/p>\n Atlantic City wakes up to a crisis, when they find that a hurricane has shifted courses and is headed right for their town. The Memorial staff pulls together to prepare, but an elevator malfunction causes eight people to be trapped together. Risha loses a valued possession and gets a shock to her system while looking for it. Harry, Kylie, and Amelia are forced to go out in the storm to transport a patient to the ER. But after all, even in times of crisis, their work must go on.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> June 16, 2002<\/p>\n As the hurricane ravages the city, seven staff members remain trapped in an elevator, while the others try their best to do their jobs. When an emergency strikes within the elevator, it\u2019s a race for time, while several paramedics risk their lives to save others during the eye of the storm. Two paramedics become trapped in the hurricane in the line of duty. Will nature show mercy on them? Or will it destroy them both?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> July 16, 2002<\/p>\n It\u2019s nearly Thanksgiving in Atlantic City and ER nurse Susan Walker\u2019s first day. While she tries to fit in in the ER, Justin is abused by a patient and her boyfriend. On Thanksgiving, the staff members must delay their dinners to work shifts at the hospital. A family is brought into the ER after a bad car accident, and there is change in a comatose patient\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> July 22, 2002<\/p>\n Siara plans to enjoy her day off, but when someone close to her is brought into the ER, she is called in and forced to work on the daughter of a friend. Ivory has to give a boy and his mother grave news and finds out something horrible about another of her patients. When emotions run high, Ivory does something that may affect her career.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Published:<\/strong> February 13, 2005<\/p>\n It\u2019s a long night for the Memorial staff members who get stuck working the night shift. Brian and Addie must treat and comfort a teenager whose choices they morally oppose, while Bianca is called upon to deal with a young rape victim. Kevin and Elizabeth discover it isn\u2019t easy to work together as colleagues when they may be drifting apart as a couple, while the women of the ER find it\u2019s only too easy to treat an attractive lacrosse player. Yet, between investigations, relationship drama, and mama drama, not everyone is jolly. Amid the drama, a little boy goes missing in the storm, and Howie cannot stand to sit back and wait while a child is out in the cold.
