In honor of the youngest Backstreet Boy’s birthday, I’m updating a day early! Chapter 32 of My Brother’s Keeper is up, and it’s a Nick chapter! To me, this chapter exemplifies Unbreakable-era Nick: still a volatile hot mess at times, but fiercely loyal to his friends and well on his way to becoming the stand-up guy we know him as today. Writing about this version of him from fourteen years ago makes me appreciate how much he has grown since then and what a good man he’s matured into. Proud of you, Nick!
Earlier this week, I outlined the rest of the story. As of right now, it’s looking like it will be about fifty chapters long, which is what I’ve been thinking for a while. Of course, now that I post that publicly, it will probably go longer than that because I always seem to underestimate just how many words it will take for me to write what I have planned, but I don’t think it will go too far past Chapter 50. My goal is to finish it by the end of summer. Thank you to those who are still reading!
