The World Will Be Waiting

Chapter 23 of The World Will Be Waiting is up!  This is one of those chapters that makes me question why I write some of the stuff I do, especially about characters based on real people. 🙃  The answer is probably some combination of striving for realism while recognizing that secondhand embarrassment can make for a compelling conflict, but still… sorry, Kevin.

I’m going to take a break from updating next weekend since I’ll be in Connecticut for 90s Con, but I’ll be back in two weeks with the next chapter!  Thanks for reading!

Marching on…

It’s March, and that means spring will be here before we know it!  I’m feeling a little burnt out with work lately, but not with writing.  I made it to 150,000 words on The World Will Be Waiting today, so that’s still going well.  I hope those of you who are reading are still enjoying it!  I always appreciate hearing your thoughts. 😊  Chapter 22 is up!

400!

Today, my writing streak reached 400 days!  Onto 500…

With that being said, Chapter 21 of The World Will Be Waiting is up!  I hope you’re enjoying the fluffy stuff, but if you’re missing the other Boys, don’t worry – they’ll be back in a few chapters when Kevin heads to London.  Thanks for reading!

A few of my favorite things

Happy Saturday!  Since my last update, Nick and AJ canceled their appearance at ’90s Con due to the Hong Kong concerts BSB added to their tour, but I’m still gonna go and have a great time seeing friends and other celebrities from my childhood.  I’m most excited about meeting the cast of All That, which was one of my absolute favorite shows as a kid and helped turn me into a BSB fan.  The first time I saw the Boys perform (on TV, not in person) was when they sang “As Long As You Love Me” on All That in early 1998.  Brian became my favorite Backstreet Boy about one minute and forty-nine seconds into the video below, when he stepped forward to sing his solo and flashed that beautiful smile of his.  I didn’t even know his name yet, but I knew I loved him. 😍  The rest is history.

I’m happy for the fans in Hong Kong who get to see the Boys next month!  I’m also happy because I got to see my favorite movie, Titanic, in the theater again last night and woke up this morning with an idea for a Titanic crossover fanfic that combines three of my favorite ’90s fandoms.  For now, it’s just an idea that I put in my folder full of other ideas I have waiting for me when I finish what I’m working on now.

Speaking of my work in progress, Chapter 19 of The World Will Be Waiting is up!  This is a pretty cute chapter, in my opinion.  It also has dinosaurs in it!  Next week’s chapter will be romantic – perfect for Valentine’s Day!  Let me know in the comments if you would like me to post it in time for Valentine’s Day instead of waiting until the weekend. 😘

Good luck to Kevin and Kristin’s Kansas City Chiefs in the Superbowl tomorrow!
