Did you think Sharkolas was a real story? Well, the truth is, it could have been! The chat between Rose and me that I posted in my blog was 100% real. At one point in time, we really were considering making Sharkolas our next collaboration after Song for the Undead. The idea was silly, but it would have made for a fun comedy. Seeing how it’s been almost nine years since that conversation and five since we finished Undead, though, I figured it’s a pretty safe bet we’re never going to get around to writing it, so I asked Rose for her blessing to post a blog about it as this year’s April Fool’s prank. Since I’ve been spotlighting an old story every week, I thought it would be funny to blog about one I never actually wrote and make long-time readers wonder, WTF? Wait, did this really happen? Besides, this way we could share our “creativity” (or craziness) with the world without actually having to write the thing. Win!
