The world will be waiting no more!

The world will be waiting no more!

Well, hello there! It’s been a while! Sorry about that. I didn’t mean to disappear for almost two months. Hopefully, by now, you’ve figured out that the PAW Patrol crossover fic I pretended to post on April 1st does not actually exist and was, in fact, just an April Fools’ prank. But I wasn’t joking when I said that my writing streak accidentally came to an end back in March, which totally derailed my daily writing routine.

In hindsight, I probably should have just picked right back up where I left off and started a new streak the next day, but instead, I saw it as the universe telling me to take a break and did just that. I have written here and there over the past two months, but I definitely haven’t been writing daily like I was before. And while it’s been nice to not have the pressure of trying to maintain my streak anymore, my productivity has obviously taken a hit – which is why the streak was a good thing for me. It kept me on track and motivated me to write every day, even when I didn’t really feel like doing it. Without discipline, I only write when I feel like it – and, lately, I just haven’t felt like it. But, with the end of the school year approaching, I’m trying to get back on track!

With that being said, Chapter 85 of The World Will Be Waiting is up!  This is a transitional chapter that bridges the gap between the story arc that ended with the previous chapter and the upcoming arc, which will feature more the other Backstreet Boys more prominently.  We’re getting close to their 20th anniversary in the story, which feels like it wasn’t all that long ago in real life.  Crazy that they just celebrated 33 years last month!  What’s even crazier is that 2013 was also the year I came up with the original idea for this story’s predecessor, My Brother’s Keeper.  I never imagined that idea would grow into a series or that I would still be writing it thirteen years later!  But here we are.  Although I’ve admittedly lost some momentum lately, I still love this story and its characters, and I fully intended to keep writing it until I finish it.  As always, thanks for sticking with me!
