TWWBW Update!

Sorry it’s been so long since the last story update, but I’m finally back with Chapter 76 of The World Will Be Waiting!  This chapter has actually been finished for a while, but between busy weekends and wanting to write ahead and make sure things are working out the way I want them go, I needed to wait a few weeks to post it.  Thanks for bearing with me.  I hope you enjoy the new chapter!

Throwback Thursday #20: Top Five Favorite Scary Stories

It’s the most wonderful time of the year: SPOOKY SEASON! I’ve always loved Halloween and horror, so this week, I’m celebrating the season by blogging about the scary stories I have written. Most of my stories are scary in a “I hope this never happens in real life” kind of way, but the ones in this blog are full-on horrifying. Here are my five favorite horror fics!

Throwback Thursday #19: Top Five Favorite Fanfictional Kevin Roles

Happy October! Not only is this one of my favorite times of year, but our favorite long-haired, football-loving Backstreet Boy is turning fifty-four tomorrow! In honor of Kevy Kev, this week’s blog is all about my favorite Kevin characters from my fics.

This was both an easy and hard list to put together, because, prior to 2021, I’d never written a Kevin-centered novel. If you filter my stories by boy, only two stories come up for Kevin: My Brother’s Keeper and its sequel, The World Will Be Waiting. That narrowed down my options quite a bit but made it fairly simple to rank my top five. Without further ado, here they are!

Throwback Thursday #18: Top Five Favorite Sad Scenes

In my last blog, I celebrated the start of sweet September by writing about my favorite feel-good scenes. This week, as September winds down, I’m going in a different direction and blogging about my favorite heartbreaking, tearjerking moments. It’s time for sad September!

I’ve always loved sad stories. I find it so cathartic to have a good cry over a tragic tearjerker, and I love creating fiction that inspires the same feeling in other readers. It may sound weird, but I take it as a huge compliment when someone leaves a comment and tells me I made them cry. I don’t often make myself cry while I’m writing (although it does happen once in a while), but when I actually tear up while reading one of my own stories, I know I nailed it. With that being said, here are my top five favorite sad scenes.

TWWBW Update!

This is not a drill, not a blog, but an actual story update!  The World Will Be Waiting has finally been updated with Chapter 75!  I’m sorry it took me so long to get around to posting this chapter.  It’s ridiculously long and took me the better part of the summer to finish.  It’s actually been done for a while, but August was such a busy month that I barely had time to write, let alone edit and update.  But I kept my daily writing streak alive, hitting the 1300-day milestone on August 13th!  Now that I’ve settled back into my school routine, September will hopefully be more productive on the fanfic front.

Speaking of fanfic, if you’re looking for a place to discuss fanfic, books, movies, and more, check out Mare’s Corner!  This message board was created by Mare, the moderator of Absolute Chaos, to replace the dying AC FicTalk forum.  There are only a few of us on the new board as of now, so it’s not super active, but we would welcome more members.  Please join us!
