This is Nuts!

I’m sorry for the month-long gap between updates!  School has officially started up again, so it’s been a busy month.  I do have a story update for you, though.  I’ve contributed a new Nick death to the round robin 1000 Ways to Kill Nick Carter, called “This is Nuts!”  Check it out!

Now that I’m back at work, I have significantly less time to write, so my updates are going to slow down.  I am also starting a three-year master’s program, which means less time to write fanfic on the weekends once I start having papers to write and academic reading to do.  I did manage to keep updating all through college, so I have no plans to stop writing or anything, but I did want to warn you that I probably won’t be writing as much.

That said, I do have a few more chapters of both Guilty Roads and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Backstreet Boy finished that I will be posting over the coming weeks, so stay tuned for those.  Thanks for visiting the site, thanks for reading, and thanks, as always, for your support!

And on that note, voting starts tomorrow in the Double Rainbow Awards!  Make sure you go vote for your favorites!

New Server, New Story!

As you may have noticed or seen on Twitter, Dreamer’s Sanctuary has been moved to a new server.  After thirteen wonderful years with Yahoo, I switched to a new hosting company, Bluehost, which will supposedly work better with WordPress and save me some money on the cost of the domain.  If the site looked strange or didn’t load correctly for you in the last few days, that is why.

I’m happy to say that the whole site has been moved and seems to be running smoothly so far!  I did make some changes to the structure of it when I re-configured WordPress, so if you had linked directly to any pages on the WordPress site, you may find that those links are now broken.  You can fix them by taking out “/fanfic” from the URL.  I think I fixed all of the links on the site, but if you do notice any broken links while you’re browsing that should be there, please let me know so I can fix them!

The only thing I was not able to backup from the old site were the memberships, or registered readers.  If you left a comment or review on the old site, I will add you back myself with the same username and email address you used to register.  The only thing you will need to do is change the password, which you will receive in an email.  Unfortunately, if you registered but never commented, I don’t have a record of your username to restore your membership, so you will have to register again.  I apologize for the inconvenience!  Registering is only necessary if you want the ability to leave feedback on the site, in order to prevent spam comments.

Now that all that’s out of the way, I do have a new story to share with you.  It’s a short story called Unsuspecting Sunday, and it’s my first attempt at writing a slash!  I have never been a fan of slash, but I wanted to stretch myself to see if I could write in a new genre.  This is the result.  I hope you enjoy it!

Guilty Roads Again!

Guilty Roads has been updated again with Chapter 13!  This is another Nick-centered one, which I’m sure most of you don’t mind, but for the Kevin fans, I promise, Kevin is coming up in the next one!

Enjoy the update!

Guilty Roads! For Real!

You’re never going to believe this, but Guilty Roads has been updated with Chapter 12!  LP is going to be excited, I know! 🙂

I am sincerely sorry that it’s been SO long since the last GR update in January of 2012.  I started off strong with this story in June of 2010, and then I got the idea for Curtain Call, and ever since then, there’s always been another story that has sounded better or, to be perfectly honest, easier to write, and Guilty Roads has gotten pushed further and further down the priority list.  The good news is that I’ve since finished some of these stories or at least gotten them out of my system, in order to make GR a priority again.

Honestly, this story has not been an easy one to write.  As much as I enjoy reading suspense, writing it is a completely different story – it’s hard for me!  Add in the fact that this one has a complicated plot with several interweaving storylines that require a lot of research, and this has proven to be quite the challenge.

I held off on posting this chapter until I had made enough progress to ensure I’d be able to update at least a few more times before falling by the wayside again – and hopefully that won’t happen this time.  Curtain Call is done, Secrets of the Heart is done, and Song for the Undead is almost done, so I’m not stretched QUITE as thin as I have been for the past three years.  I’m really hoping I can keep up the momentum I’ve had going this week and not get blocked again so I can keep churning out chapters because I know some of you have been waiting quite patiently for more for a long time now!  I don’t want to disappoint.

I hope you enjoy the update.  Please leave a review and let me know if you’re still reading!
