Happy early birthday to my beloved Brian! For this week’s Wayback Wednesday, we’re going back to 2009, to a story that features my favorite fictional version of Brian… Song for the Undead!

This is the series of twenty Wayback Wednesday retrospective posts I wrote leading up to Dreamer’s Sanctuary’s 20th anniversary in 2020.
Wayback Wednesday #9: 2008
I know many of you are overseas, but to my fellow North American fans, I hope you had/have good luck getting your tickets to the DNA tour! The Boys answered my teacher prayers and actually scheduled all the cities around me right in a row and during my summer vacation, so how could I resist? I’m going to see them three nights in a row in Indianapolis, Chicago, and St. Louis. Can’t wait! Friends in Europe and Asia, I hope they announce more dates for you next! To those in Mexico, South America, and Australia who have shows coming up soon, I’m so excited for you! Have fun!
In the meantime, it’s Wednesday, and this week, I’m going back to 2008 to reflect on one of my lesser read “recent” stories, Secrets of the Heart.
Wayback Wednesday #8: 2007
I had so much fun reading, reminiscing, and writing about Broken and BMS last month, but it’s time to move on to other stories. For this week’s Wayback Wednesday, we’re going back to 2007, the year the most fun collaboration I’ve ever been a part of, 00Carter, was first published.
Wayback Wednesday #7: 2006
Happy birthday, Nick! Technically it’s still Tuesday in my time zone, but I’m posting my Wayback Wednesday a little early so I can wish our beloved youngest Backstreet Boy a happy fortieth. Now that all five of our Boys are in their forties, I guess we’re officially old! Oh well… at the rate I’m going, I’ll happily keep writing fanfic about them in my retirement.
Speaking of writing, I’m sorry for not updating on Saturday. After spending the past few weekends basically hibernating because of bad weather, I actually had plans this weekend and didn’t get any writing done, so the next part of The Year Without a Pandaskunk isn’t finished yet. I’ve actually been doing a lot more reading than writing the last couple of weeks, trying to get through By My Side for the sake of this post. This week’s Wayback Wednesday will be the second part of my blog on BMS.
Wayback Wednesday #6: 2005
For this week’s (and next week’s) Wayback Wednesday post, I’ll be blogging about the sequel to Broken, By My Side. I started this story in March 2004 and finished it in January 2008. In between, I wrote no other solo stories except for Footprints, which is a collection of short stories that accompanies Broken and By My Side (BMS). Besides a couple of collaborations I contributed to in that time frame, my fanfic life pretty much revolved around Nick and Claire for five whole years, and I have no regrets.
I have never gone back and read BMS all the way through since finishing it, but I started to do so last week and am halfway through, so this post will focus mostly on the first half of the story, and I’ll write more about the second half in the next week’s blog.
