New story!
Surprise! It’s a random midweek update! As promised, I’m back with the Brian short story I’ve been teasing. It’s called Dodging the Daylight, and now that it’s done, I couldn’t wait any longer to post it in all its glorious drama! It’s only six chapters long, so I’m posting the whole thing today. I hope you enjoy it!
In the Wink of an Eye
The 00Carter crew is back with the first part of Episode 14: “In the Wink of an Eye.”
Synopsis: While on lockdown, the HimTak staff entertain themselves with a hot new social media app called “Wink.” But after witnessing a string of strange events, Nick and K start to suspect something is amiss. With the help of Pearl’s nerdy new assistant, they embark on a mission inside their headquarters to investigate the cause of their colleagues’ uncharacteristic behavior.
This episode is a lot more light-hearted than the last one, although it still has some rather dramatic moments. We had a ton of fun writing it and hope you’ll enjoy it!
Sorry I didn’t update My Brother’s Keeper over the weekend. My writing on that has slowed down a bit over the past few weeks, so I took a week off of updating so I won’t catch up to myself as quickly. That’s the bad news. The good news is that the reason my writing has slowed down on MBK is because I’ve been working on the Brian short story I mentioned back in February. That story should be ready to post later this week, and then I’ll be able to get back to MBK!
MBK Update
Happy spring! It was so nice to see four-fifths of the Boys back together this week as they rehearse for the Vegas kick-off! After two very long years without BSB concerts, I’m excited to see the world returning to normal and the show finally going on!
Sorry I’m a day late on my usual Saturday update. Yesterday turned out differently than I had planned, and I didn’t get a chance to post anything. It worked out well, though, because we are taking a week off from 00Carter updates and won’t start posting the new episode of that until next Monday, so I ended up splitting the difference between the Saturday and Monday updates I’ve been doing lately. Chapter 38 of My Brother’s Keeper is up! This is the chapter I was writing when I posted the poll asking if you like reading medical procedure scenes. Since the consensus was a resounding “yes!” I hope you’ll enjoy this chapter. Again, nothing but love, admiration, and appreciation for Nick and his candidness, especially in his book. As you may have noticed, I’ve borrowed some of his words to use in his POV chapters in this section of the story because I can’t possibly portray his thoughts better than he himself can. Thanks for providing us with your firsthand account, Nick! And, of course, thanks to everyone who actually reads this! I appreciate you, too!
