MBK Update

Happy spring!  It was so nice to see four-fifths of the Boys back together this week as they rehearse for the Vegas kick-off!  After two very long years without BSB concerts, I’m excited to see the world returning to normal and the show finally going on!

Sorry I’m a day late on my usual Saturday update.  Yesterday turned out differently than I had planned, and I didn’t get a chance to post anything.  It worked out well, though, because we are taking a week off from 00Carter updates and won’t start posting the new episode of that until next Monday, so I ended up splitting the difference between the Saturday and Monday updates I’ve been doing lately.  Chapter 38 of My Brother’s Keeper is up!  This is the chapter I was writing when I posted the poll asking if you like reading medical procedure scenes.  Since the consensus was a resounding “yes!” I hope you’ll enjoy this chapter.  Again, nothing but love, admiration, and appreciation for Nick and his candidness, especially in his book.  As you may have noticed, I’ve borrowed some of his words to use in his POV chapters in this section of the story because I can’t possibly portray his thoughts better than he himself can.  Thanks for providing us with your firsthand account, Nick!  And, of course, thanks to everyone who actually reads this!  I appreciate you, too!

00Carter Update

“I just saw a murder…”

Part 5, the last part of 00Carter Episode 13: “A Lost Odyssey” has been posted!  You can also read our “Behind the Story” blog at the end of the chapter.  With that, another episode of 00Carter is complete!  We’ll be back in two weeks with the beginning of a brand new episode!

In the meantime, I will probably post another chapter of My Brother’s Keeper this weekend!

00Carter Update

Grab yourself some graham crackers and a cup of milk with a straw, yo, because the 00Carter crew is back with Part 4 of Episode 13: “A Lost Odyssey.”  We hope you enjoy it!  We’ll be back next week with the last part of the episode!

Nick Carter Appreciation Post

Chapter 36 of My Brother’s Keeper is up! While this chapter and its aftermath are a dramatized, fictional account of real life events set under different circumstances, I did draw inspiration from Nick’s memoir and various articles and interviews he’s done over the years.  Reading parts of that book again and watching those interviews as I was writing made me so appreciative of Nick and how he’s turned his life around since the time period when this story takes place.  Sure, I like hurting him in my stories, but I love seeing him so happy and healthy in real life.  He has come a long way since I first became a fan of him.  I loved him through his hot mess phase, but I much prefer the person Nick is now.  I admire him for not only putting forth the effort it took to quit his bad habits and adopt a healthier lifestyle, but also for having the courage to be vulnerable and speak/write candidly about his problems, the mistakes he’s made in the past, and all that he’s had to overcome.  We fans are so lucky to have him in our lives!  Love you, Nick!
