Fifty years ago…

…Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon, and Brian’s lovely wife was born.  Happy birthday, Leighanne!  What a historic day to come into the world!

Chapter 24 of A Heart That Isn’t Mine is up!  When I first started posting this story, I promised you were in for a roller coaster ride.  Consider this chapter that point when you’re almost to the top of one of the tall hills, but not quite there yet.  It’s the calm before the (next) storm.  Things are about to get (even more) intense, and it’s gonna be a wild ride the rest of the story.  I finished Part III and got to a pivotal point this week, and I can’t wait for you to read what’s to come!

Which one am I?

“He’s the boy next door with sky blue eyes, sweet as apple pie…”  Which Backstreet Boy do you think Howie’s describing here?  If you haven’t heard his new album yet, do yourself a favor and go listen!  It’s streaming free on Spotify right now.  The title track, “Which One am I?” is about the Backstreet Boys!

The North American leg of the DNA tour also kicks off tonight – yay!!!  It’s an exciting time to be a BSB fan, for sure!

In other news, I’m updating a day early and posting Chapter 23 of A Heart That Isn’t Mine.  I’m getting super excited for what’s to come in this story.  I hope you’re enjoying it, too!

I’m on a mission, gonna sleep when I’m dead…

…and it’s impossible to stop when I start.

I’ve been on a roll with the writing this week!  My sleep schedule may have suffered, but my story has definitely benefit from the rush of inspiration.  Give me a few uninterrupted days to get into a groove, and I get a lot done!  If I can keep this going the rest of the month, I may be tempted to post more than one chapter per week.  But for now, Chapter 22 of A Heart That Isn’t Mine is up!

I’m glad I’ve been updating the site regularly this year because I recently paid quite a bit of money to renew my hosting plan for three more.  I don’t mind because I enjoy it, and as long as other people enjoy visiting and reading my stories, it’s worth it to me.  I could write for myself for free, but I first started this website in hopes of attracting an outside audience for my work, and your support means the world to me.  The way I see it, feedback is the fanfic equivalent of royalties, so I sincerely appreciate all of you who not only read, but take time to leave comments.  If I wanted to make money writing, this would not be the way to do it, but I have a day job and obviously don’t do this for income.  I do it because it’s a fun hobby.  I’ll keep doing it as long as I’m having fun, and I’ll continue to maintain Dreamer’s Sanctuary as long as others seem to be having fun here, too.  For now, that means DS will be around until at least July 2022 – most likely a lot longer than that!  Whether you’re new to the site or a long-time reader, I thank you again for your support!

Exit light, enter night

Chapter 21 of A Heart That Isn’t Mine is up, and this depressing story is about to get even darker!  This begins Part 3 of the story, entitled “In the Dark,” and those of you wanting more Brian are going to get your wish.  Poor, poor Brian… LOL.  Enjoy!

I’m back!

Sorry for the delay in updates!  I had a wonderful vacation from both real life and fanfic last week, and it’s been a bit slow going getting back into writing.  I did finish my rewrite of Chapter 20 of A Heart That Isn’t Mine before I left, so I’m posting that chapter today.  I’m almost finished with Chapter 21, and it should be ready to post this weekend.  Then I’ll get back to my regularly-scheduled weekly updates.  Thanks for reading and commenting!
