Happy belated birthday to both the first baby Backstreet Boy, Baylee, and the first Backstreet girl, Ava! I can’t believe Brian is old enough to have an adult child. How did that happen?!
I hope those of you in the U.S. had a happy Thanksgiving on Thursday! Although it looked different for many of us, there’s still a lot to be thankful for this year. I’m thankful for my family and grateful that we have managed to avoid contracting COVID. I’m thankful for the healthcare workers who are taking care of those who have not been so fortunate, as well as all the other essential workers who are putting themselves on the front line to keep the world going. I’m thankful for my friends in the fandom and looking forward to seeing them again when this is over. I’m thankful for the Boys, who have found ways to keep entertaining us even though they had to postpone their tour. Without the pandemic, we would not have been blessed with podcasts, AJ on Dancing With the Stars, and Nick on The Masked Singer. I’m thankful that I am still able to work, but I’m also thankful for the time I’ve had to write and for everyone who has taken the time to read my writing. Thank you!
Finally, I’m thankful for the shitshow that has been 2020 for inspiring the idea for The Road to Bethlehem. This has been a fun story to write. Sometimes it’s good to change things up a bit and torture the Boys out in the beauty of nature instead of inside a hospital, LOL. Whenever I ask myself, “Is this too ridiculous to be believable?” I remember how much crazy stuff has happened in real life this year and realize nothing is too ridiculous for a story set in 2020. With that being said, Chapter 9 is up! Enjoy!
