This might leave some damage… damage… damage…

Hope everyone’s been enjoying our early Christmas present from the Boys, “Matches.”  It may not be the greatest song in the world, but to have any new music from BSB to end this horrible year is a gift I’m grateful for.  Especially since we didn’t get our Christmas album once again – though I’m glad it’s not for the same reasons as in The Road to Bethlehem.

Speaking of my story, Chapter 11 is up!  Hope you enjoy!

The Road to Bethlehem

Chapter 10 of The Road to Bethlehem is up and contains an update on Kevin!  Sorry to have left you hanging… but not that sorry – you know I love a good cliffhanger!  This story has been so much fun to write.  I’m glad so many of you seem to be enjoying it, too.  Thanks for the comments you’ve left me, whether here or on other platforms.  I appreciate each and every one!

Thankful

Happy belated birthday to both the first baby Backstreet Boy, Baylee, and the first Backstreet girl, Ava!  I can’t believe Brian is old enough to have an adult child.  How did that happen?!

I hope those of you in the U.S. had a happy Thanksgiving on Thursday!  Although it looked different for many of us, there’s still a lot to be thankful for this year.  I’m thankful for my family and grateful that we have managed to avoid contracting COVID.  I’m thankful for the healthcare workers who are taking care of those who have not been so fortunate, as well as all the other essential workers who are putting themselves on the front line to keep the world going.  I’m thankful for my friends in the fandom and looking forward to seeing them again when this is over.  I’m thankful for the Boys, who have found ways to keep entertaining us even though they had to postpone their tour.  Without the pandemic, we would not have been blessed with podcasts, AJ on Dancing With the Stars, and Nick on The Masked Singer.  I’m thankful that I am still able to work, but I’m also thankful for the time I’ve had to write and for everyone who has taken the time to read my writing.  Thank you!

Finally, I’m thankful for the shitshow that has been 2020 for inspiring the idea for The Road to Bethlehem.  This has been a fun story to write.  Sometimes it’s good to change things up a bit and torture the Boys out in the beauty of nature instead of inside a hospital, LOL.  Whenever I ask myself, “Is this too ridiculous to be believable?” I remember how much crazy stuff has happened in real life this year and realize nothing is too ridiculous for a story set in 2020.  With that being said, Chapter 9 is up!  Enjoy!

Happy 20th Anniversary, Black & Blue!

I can’t believe it’s been twenty years since the release of Black & Blue!  Although Millennium was the album that took me from casual BSB fan to full-on fangirl, Black & Blue is the first album cycle I remember following closely on the internet.  I got into fanfic between Millennium and B&B, and that’s what also initiated me into the online fan community and introduced me to other fans from around the world.  It was so much fun looking forward to the new album’s release and coming up with new story ideas based on its songs afterward.  Cheers to twenty years of Black & Blue!

As for story updates, Chapter 8 of The Road to Bethlehem is up!  Enjoy!

Take a break

Need a break from the pandemic, politics, and fandom drama?  I definitely do.  Fanfic is good for that.  I’ve been on a roll with the writing lately; it’s my favorite form of stress relief and escapism.  Writing fanfic doesn’t fix any real problems, but it does help distract me from them.  I hope you’ll appreciate the distraction, too.  With that being said, Chapter 7 of The Road to Bethlehem is up.  Enjoy!
