Oh happy day!

Sorry I’m posting so late in the day, especially after leaving you on a cliffhanger last week.   I would have updated earlier, but I ended up having a spontaneous celebration with a good friend.  It’s been a very good day for a majority of Americans!  Anyway, Chapter  6 of The Road to Bethlehem is up.  I hope you enjoy it!

The Road to Bethlehem

Thanks for the feedback on my new story, The Road to Bethlehem!  This has been a fun one to write so far, a breath of fresh air after writing mostly hospital stories the past couple years.  And for those of you who like my hospital stories best, don’t worry – there will be plenty of drama in this one, I promise.  You know I’m incapable of writing a novel where all five of them are happy and healthy the whole way through.  Where’s the fun in that?  LOL   But for now, enjoy the fluff!  With that being said, Chapter 3 is up!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

And by that I mean it’s Halloween season!  My favorite!  But Christmas is coming up in a couple months, and that’s cool, too.  I’ve decided it’s the perfect time to post the beginning of my newest novel, which is sort of Christmas-themed, even though it takes place in June.  June of 2020, to be more specific.  It’s called The Road to Bethlehem.

Synopsis:
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Backstreet Boys rent a remote mountain cabin where they can quarantine together and work on their long-anticipated Christmas album. But just days into their retreat, disaster strikes. When they find themselves in an increasingly dire situation, the five men fear they may not all make it out of the mountains alive.

I got the idea for this story back in May after watching this interview Nick did, where he talked about the Boys having conversations about a possible Christmas album (you know, the one they’ve talked about doing for years and still haven’t delivered) and needing to get creative to find ways to work on music, since it takes all five of them being together to record.   I loved the idea of the guys quarantining themselves together somewhere where they could work on the album, just the five of them, and thought that sounded like the perfect premise for a fanfic.  I was able to combine it with a couple other ideas I’d been thinking about that never quite came together on their own to form a plot that is fitting for a story set in 2020, as you will see.  I’ve been wanting to write a bromance that focused just on the five Boys and their friendship with each other, and finally, this is that story.  I’ve been working on it off and on for the past few months and am finally far enough into it that I feel comfortable posting it with the promise that I will continue to write it and hopefully finish in a timely manner.   The first two chapters are up to get the introduction out of the way, and I’ll be back next weekend with the next one.   I hope you enjoy the beginning!
